To unleash aquatic / underwater photography in Bora Bora, I use Canon 5D MKIII or 5D Sr and a Nauticam Housing!

I got my first dive certification at age 14, at 18 I had acquired a Nikkonos V with a 35mm!  That was my first UW rig, today and after having tried many Underwater Housing; Nauticam is what I consider to be the best brand when it comes to Housings!  We are proud to have sold a few prints to several magazines and also have a few available (at a reasonable cost) on our Gallery!

I use a Canon DSLR, a Nauticam housing with Inon strobes, several LED lights & LED from UW Drone for certain night shooting in the water.

I use Canon equipment, primarily a 5D Mk IV & III for shooting Weddings, Couples Engagement or Honeymoon photo-shoots.  For landscape, fine art underwater scenes I will use my Canon 5DSr to get images at 50 mega pixels.   Some clients like to know details, so here ya go – My selection of lenses for shooting in the water:

16-35 f2.8 – Used during weddings at times if our clients wish to have wide scenes as well as underwater.
15mm fisheye – One of my favorite to shoot with clients in the water. – Our favorite for shooting people

While on land, the combo 5D MK IV & the 24-70 is my primary gear for Weddings / Honeymoon shoots.  At times and for larger ceremonies, Bonnie will shoot with a 5D MK III and a 70-200 – That allows us to cover many angles / distances without being too intrusive and break our clients glasses:-)

When shooting in the water with clients wishing to capture mid-air water images, I will use the fisheye and the Canon 5Dmk III most of the time.  If they are more into capturing submerged images, the 16-35 is a great lens for this work.
